FIRST Robotics Grant Opportunity

FIRST – For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology – is an international program with the stated mission to: “…inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.”
The purpose of this grant is to:

Increase the number of students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related careers through participation in FIRST programs.

Elevate community involvement through mentorship and sponsorship of FIRST teams.

Increase the opportunities for students in Oregon elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools to participate in FIRST programs with a focus on underserved students and rural communities.

The applications and awards for the ODE: FIRST Robotics Grant is administered by the Oregon Robotics Tournament & Outreach Program.
