SilverFalls Elementary at Garmin for STEMweek

30 young and inquisitive 3rd and 4th graders from Silverfalls Elementary descended on Garmin to learn how “MATH is used in Engineering”.  After a tour of engineering, manufacturing and the flight line, a non-stop barrage of rapid fire questions assailed a panel of Garmin engineers.    Questions started easy with “how do know your position from a satellite?” to the nitty gritty of “what components come from which country in the world”.  Students and teacher alike had a great morning of learning in Salem.
