STEMOregon STEMPosium – Feb 22, 2017

How did you learn science? Did you sit in a classroom, listening to lecture? Did you leaf through dog-eared textbooks? Today, Oregon’s students experience Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics as active, hands-on learning endeavors, engaging as innovative designers, inquisitive investigators, and empowered problem-solvers—in the classroom and beyond!

The rapid growth of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-related sectors in Oregon includes healthcare, software/IT, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and more. We’re developing our own talent in Oregon, and striving to provide our youth with pathways to high-demand, high-wage jobs.

Gather with elected officials, STEM Hub leaders, community partners, and other key stakeholders and influencers from across Oregon in a one-day conference to learn how educators are creating robust, highly interactive educational environments that prepare our youth to be future STEM industry and community leaders.
