In Oregon, six regional science, technology, engineering, and math “hubs,” or cross-sector partnerships, have won grants to help improve STEM education statewide. The hubs link K-12 schools with universities, businesses, and community organizations, such as nonprofits and museums, to boost in-school and out-of-school STEM opportunities for students.
